Ferris State was unable to overcome Michigan State on the road Thursday night, dropping a 2-0 decision to the Spartans in East Lansing. FSU outshot Michigan State 26-22 and the Bulldogs' Logan Stein made 20 saves on 21 MSU shots.Â
After two scoreless periods, Michigan State's Mitchell Lewandowski scored the game-winning goal with 6:22 remaining in the final frame before Aiden Gallacher added an empty net tally with 1:16 remaining in the contest.Â
The two teams will finish the home-and-home series Saturday night at Ferris State.
Three CCHA contests will take place Friday when #3 Minnesota State hosts Bowling Green, Bemidji State travels to Lake Superior State and Michigan Tech will face Northern Michigan the first of a home-and-home series. Â
