Saturday Highlights: BGSU & MSU Sweep

Saturday marked the first time all eight CCHA teams were in conference play since the rebirth of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) this season. No. 3 ranked Minnesota State finished the weekend sweep in front of a sellout crowd at St. Thomas, Bowling Green swept Lake Superior State, No. 20 Bemidji State beat Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan topped Ferris State in overtime. 

BGSU's Alex Barber notched four points (2G, 2A) for the Falcons. Logan Jenuwine recorded two assists for the Lakers. Minnesota State extended their winning-streak to five games, Dryden McKay recorded his second consecutive shutout and NCAA career leading 29th shutout and Nathan Smith extended his point-streak to 10 games. Five different players also recorded two-point nights for the Mavericks.  Hank Crone (1G, 2A) and Vicent de Mey (3A) both recorded three points for NMU, Justin Michaelian tallied one goal and two assists for FSU. Owen Sillinger had a goal and an assist for BSU and Brian Halonen tallied two assists for MTU.
