CCHA Players of the Month: November 2021

The CCHA is proud to recognize four student-athletes and its Players of the Month for the month of November. Bemidji State's Owen Sillinger (Forward), Minnesota State's Jake Livingstone (Defenseman) & Dryden McKay (Goaltender) and Bowling Green's Austen Swankler (Rookie) took home the honors for the second month of the 2021-22 season.  

CCHA Forward of the Month: Owen Sillinger, Sr., Bemidji State (Reigina, Sask.)

Bemidji State senior forward Owen Sillinger led the Beavers to a 4-2-0 month of November, netting a team-high 14 points on a team-best seven goals and seven assists. He sparked a power-play unit that was 7-for-17 (.412) in the month by collecting two goals and four assists for a team-high six points on the man advantage. In addition, he logged a game-winning goal. This season, he leads BSU in goal (8) and assist (13) scoring and possesses a team-high 21 points, which also ties him for the CCHA scoring lead.
 

CCHA Defenseman of the Month: Jake Livingstone, So., Minnesota State (Creston, B.C.)

Minnesota State sophomore defenseman Jake Livingstone posted a 10-point (2G, 8A) month in eight games played, including one power-play goal, 11 shots, a plus-six rating and seven blocked shots. 
 

CCHA Goaltender of the Month: Dryden McKay, Sr., Minnesota State (Downers Grove, Ill.)

Minnesota State senior goaltender Dryden McKay finsihed the month with an impressive three shutouts to increase his NCAA Division I men's ice hockey career shutout record to 30. He posted a 6-1-0 record, a 1.14 goals against average (GAA) and a .929 save percentage (SV%) this month.
 

CCHA Rookie of the Month: Austen Swankler, Fr., Bowling Green (North Huntingdon, Penn.)

Bowling Green freshman forward Austen Swankler notched seven points in November, ranking first among freshmen and fourth overall for Bowling Green. The forward scored a point in BGSU's first four games of the month, including a two-point performance in the Falcons' 3-0 win over St. Thomas on Nov. 6. He tallied two assists against Minnesota State, as well as a power play goal against Northern Michigan. Swankler was named CCHA Rookie of the Week on Nov. 8, his second honor of the season.
