CCHA Forward of the Week: Louis Boudon, Jr., Lake Superior State (Grenoble, France)

Lake Superior State junior forward Louis Boudon led the Lakers to a weekend sweep over the No. 19 Northern Michigan Wildcats with three goals and an assist in the pair of games. Boudon, who was tied for the team-lead in points over the weekend, notched an assist on the team’s fifth goal in Friday night’s 7-2 win over NMU. The Laker captain followed with a three-goal performance on Saturday night, netting his second hat trick of the season to lead the Lakers to a 4-1 win over the Wildcats. Boudon evened the game at one in the first period with an even strength goal and scored the eventual game winner late in the third period as he tallied a five-on-three power play goal. The Grenoble, France native capped off the hat trick with a shorthanded empty net goal to clinch the Laker win. Boudon also had an impressive weekend in the faceoff circle for the Lakers as the centerman won 30 of the 43 draws he took. After the four-point effort against the Wildcats, Boudon has totaled 27 points this season to rank second in the CCHA (11G, 16A).
