Preview: BGSU faces Ohio State in home-and-home series

Bowling Green will be the final CCHA member to finish off the last game before departing for the Christmas Break when the Falcons host No. 17 Ohio State Buckeyes. Friday night's game in Bowling Green starts at 7 p.m. (ET) and is sold out.

The Falcons have two reigning CCHA Players of the Week, Christian Stoever was named CCHA Goaltender of the Week after recording a 0.76 goals against average (GAA) and a .928 save percentage on the weekend. Austen Swankler was named CCHA Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, recording four points (1G, 3A) last weekend. Swankler leads Bowling Green with 18 points.


Bowling Green and Ohio State have played 166 times, making the Buckeyes the Falcons' second-most common opponent. Bowling Green holds a 94-63-9 advantage over the Buckeyes in the all-time series, which began with a 6-3 OSU win on Dec. 5, 1969. This was Bowling Green's seventh total game in program history.
