Michigan Tech set for Great Lakes Invitational

The annual Great Lakes Invitational (typically held at the home of the Detroit Red Wings, Little Caesars Arena) will be held as a showcase this season at both the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
 
No. 18-ranked Michigan Tech will face the No. 3-ranked Wolverines at Yost Ice Arena Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. (ET) before facing the Spartans at Munn Ice Arena on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. (ET). No. 4-ranked Western Michigan is this year’s invitee and plays Michigan State Wednesday before facing Michigan Thursday.

Michigan Tech is 97-126-6 against the Wolverines in a series that dates back to 1921. The Huskies are 42-77-4 in games played in Ann Arbor. Tech defeated Michigan 4-2 on December 31, 2019, in the GLI Championship at Little Caesars Arena.
