Michigan Tech defeated Alaska, 6-2, to complete its early weekend sweep after winning 2-0 last night. No. 5 Minnesota State opened its series against No. 4 Minnesota Duluth with a bang, topping the Bulldogs, 6-0, at home. Lake Superior State got its regular season underway with a 3-1 loss to Nebraska Omaha, while Ferris State dropped its series opener with Canisius, 5-3.
