Saturday Recap: How Sweep It Is

St. Thomas made history all weekend long, including the completion of the program's first Division I sweep on Saturday against Lake Superior State. No. 10 Minnesota used a late comeback against No. 20 Michigan Tech, before earning the bonus point in the shootout. In non-conference action, Bemidji State saw it's third period rally fall just short at North Dakota.

Ryan Sandelin answered a third period goal from Tristan Ashbrook to help No. 10 Minnesota State to a 2-2 at No. 20 Michigan Tech on Saturday night. Christian Fitzgerald potted the shootout winner for the Mavericks.

Kaden Pickering and Carter Jones brought the visiting Beavers within a goal in the third period, but North Dakota was able to tally an empty-netter to seal the narrow non-league victory. Gavin Enright had 26 saves for Bemidji State in goal.
