The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its Players of the Week for the games of November 25-26 and four student-athletes from three different programs have been recognized. David Silye (Minnesota State) earned Forward of the Week, while Elias Rosen (Bemidji State) earned Defenseman of the Week honors. Aaron Trotter (St. Thomas) and Josh Eernisse (St. Thomas) were the league’s Goaltender and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

CCHA Forward of the Week: David Silye, Jr., Minnesota State (Arnprior, Ont.)
Silye paced all CCHA forwards with three points last week, netting two goals and assisting on another. For the week, he was a +2 with six shots, while winning 56.0% of his face-offs (28 of 50). On Friday, he scored a goal in No. 10 Minnesota State’s 3-2 loss at Michigan Tech, before helping the Mavericks comeback to tie the Huskies on Saturday. In that game, he scored a goal and assisted on the game-tying tally in the final minute of regulation.
CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Elias Rosen, Sr., Bemidji State (Mora, Sweden)
Rosen led all conference blueliners with three points last week, tabulating three assists in a home-and-home series with North Dakota. He had two helpers in a 3-3 tie in Bemidji on Friday night, before picking up another in a 4-2 defeat in Grand Forks on Saturday. For the week, he was even with two shots on goal and two blocks at the defensive end of the ice.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Aaron Trotter, Fr., St. Thomas (Victoria, B.C.)
Trotter went 2-0-0 with a 0.50 goals-against average and a .978 save percentage last week, helping St. Thomas to its first Division I era sweep. On Friday, he stopped all 23 shots he faced to record the first shutout in Tommies DI history. He then had 21 saves in a 2-1 victory on Saturday, losing the bid for his second straight clean sheet with less than eight minutes to play in the third. For the week, he made 44 stops in 120 minutes.
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Josh Eernisse, Fr., St. Thomas (Apple Valley, Minn.)
Eernisse scored a league-high three goals last week, including two game-winners, to lead St. Thomas to its first Division I era sweep, topping Lake Superior State, 4-0 and 2-1. On Friday, he netted a pair of goals on seven shots, before scoring a shorthanded tally on Saturday. For the week, he was a +3 with 10 shots on goal and two blocks.
