Saturday Highlights: MTU & MSU sweep to advance to semifinal round

Both top seeds Minnesota State (#1) and Michigan Tech (#2) recorded weekend sweeps to advance to the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs semifinals next weekend. Minnesota State topped St. Thomas 8-2 and Michigan Tech won 3-2 in double overtime to move on to the next round. Higher seeds Lake Superior State & Bemidji State earned redemption to force a suddendeath game threes Sunday.
