Saturday Recap: Overtime Openers

St. Thomas and Ferris State each claimed 5-4 overtime victories, taking different routes to get there, while Bowling Green shut out Robert Morris, 3-0. No. 10 Michigan Tech earned a comeback tie (2-2) at No. 17 Minnesota Duluth and Lake Superior State joined Augustana in falling to Big Ten opposition. In exhibition play, Minnesota State dropped a 1-0 decision to Nebraka Omaha.
