Friday Recap: Tommies On Top

St. Thomas used a 4-1 series-opening victory at Bowling Green to climb to the top spot in the CCHA standings, while Michigan Tech and Minnesota State got their conference schedules off on the right foot with road wins over Bemidji State (4-2) and Ferris State (6-2), respectively. Northern Michigan edged Lake Superior State, 6-4, in Cappo Cup-opening classic at the Berry, while Augustana claimed a 4-3 overtime win at Lindenwood.
