Westcott Tabbed National Co-Player of the Month

Lake Superior State forward Jared Westcott has been named the Hockey Commissioners’ Association’s (HCA) Men’s Co-Player of the Month for November, it was announced on Friday.
 
Westcott paced all CCHA skaters in goals (7), points (14), points per game (1.75) and multi-point games (5), helping the Lakers to a 4-4-0 overall mark. He ranked second in assists (7) and goals per game (0.88), third in assists per game (0.88) and fourth in shots (26). Finishing at +2 for the month, he recorded one power-play goal and one game-winning tally.

Putting together a four-game point streak, Westcott totaled seven goals and four assists during the stretch. For the season, he ranks third nationally with 22 points and is second in goals (12) and 35th in assists (10).

Denver University freshman Zeev Buium joined Westcott with Co-Player of the Month honors, while Penn State University freshman Aiden Fink was the Rookie of the Month and American International College freshman Nils Wallstrom earned Goaltender of the Month recognition.

This is the first national monthly award for a CCHA player this season after collecting one last year.
