Friday Recap: Michigan Tech wins 12th GLI title

Michigan Tech claimed its 12th Great Lakes Invitational title on Friday night, edging out No. 7 Michigan State in a shootout, after battling to a 3-3 tie. Alaska topped Ferris State, 3-2, for third place in the competition. Elsewhere, St. Thomas, Lake Superior State and Bemidji State fell in non-league action.
