Regional Preview: MSU Faces SCSU in Fargo

Minnesota State (25-12-1 overall) faces St. Cloud State (24-12-3) on Thursday at Sheels Arena (6,000) in Fargo, N.D., in 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Hockey West Regional action.

Face-off between the Mavericks and the Huskies, in a game that will decide who moves on to Saturday's regional championship, is slated for 4:00pm CT. Top-seed and nationally first-ranked Minnesota hosts Canisius on Thursday night at 8pm CT. The winners of the two regional semifinals square off on Saturday at 5:30pm CT.

Minnesota State is 19-35-5 vs. St. Cloud State in the Division I era, after the Huskies took swept a two-game series in St. Cloud earlier this season. Saturday's contest will be the second NCAA Tournament clash with the Huskies winning, 5-4, in a Frozen Four matchup on April 8, 2021.
