Regional Preview: Tech and PSU Clash in Allentown

Michigan Tech (24-10-4) takes on Penn State (21-15-1) on Friday at PPL Center (8,500) in Allentown, Pa., in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Hockey Midwest Regional.

Face-off between the Huskies and Nittany Lions, in a game that will decide who moves on to Sunday's regional championship, is slated for 5:00pm ET. No. 2 Michigan faces Colgate on Friday night at 8:30pm ET. The winners of the two regional semifinals square off on Sunday at 6:30pm ET.

Michigan Tech and Penn State meet for the first time ever at the 2023 Midwest Regional in Allentown, Pa. The Huskies are 9-9 all-time in NCAA Tournament play, while the Nittany Lions are 1-2, with their lone victory coming in their debut on March 25, 2017 - 10-3 over Union College. Both Tech and PSU were eliminated by Denver that year in Cincinnati, Ohio.
