Michigan Tech defended home ice against Bemidji State, 2-1, while Northern Michigan did the same against St. Thomas, 2-1. Bowling Green got a late goal to top Minnesota State at "The Slate" and Ferris State topped Lake Superior State, 5-3, in the familiar leg of a home-and-home weekend.
