Friday Recap: Dog Days

Ferris State played spoiler on opening at Midco Arena, topping the Vikings, 5-2, while Lake Superior State came away with a 3-1 win over Michigan Tech, creeping closer to the top of the standings. In Mankato, Northern Michigan took the bonus points from a shootout after tying Minnesota State, 2-2.
