Friday Recap: Tech Prevails, Augie Rolls

The first full weekend of CCHA action saw Michigan Tech and Augustana defend home ice with victories over Alaska (in OT) and Long Island, respectively. St. Thomas erased a two-goal deficit in the third period to tie, 5-5, while Northern Michigan took No. 12 Colorado College to overtime, before falling 4-3. No. 19 Minnesota State was stymied by Merrimack at home, 1-0, while Ferris State and Bemidji State each dropped the road legs of home-and-home series.
