Friday Recap: Promising Start

Four weekend series got underway on Friday night and the CCHA put a strong foot forward. Minnesota State highlighted the night by topping No. 7 Michigan, 5-2, while Bowling Green picked up a road victory, 2-1, over Mercyhurst. Ferris State tied Miami (OH), 3-3, before taking the exhibition shootout and Lake Superior State took No. 4 Michigan State to overtime, before falling, 2-1.
