Tracy Garners Co-National Goaltender of the Month

Minnesota State junior goaltender Alex Tracy has been named the Hockey Commissioners’ Association’s Co-Men’s National Goaltender of the Month for November, it was announced on Thursday, along with Colorado College's Kaidan Mbereko.

Tracy (Chicago, Ill.) led the nation in goals-against average (1.23) and save percentage (.955) during the month of November, posting a 5-1-2 record with one shutout. Over 488:12 minutes, he made 212 total saves, which ranked third in the conference.

Allowing one of fewer goals in six of 10 starts, Tracy's month was highlighted by stopping 43-of-44 shots in a 1-0 loss at Bemidji State on November 1 and turning away all 21 shots in a 3-0 shutout of Northern Michigan on November 15. Of the 10 goals he allowed during the month, only five came while the Mavericks were at even strength.

Boston College sophomore forward Ryan Leonard was tabbed HCA Men’s National Player of the Month for November, while University of Michigan freshman forward Michael Hage earned Men’s National Rookie of the Month.

Tracy is the second straight CCHA goaltender to earn national monthly honors, following Augustana's Josh Kotai in October.
