The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its Players of the Week for February 7-8 and four student-athletes from four different programs have been recognized. Kasper Magnussen (Bemidji State) claimed Forward of the Week honors, while Mason Wheeler (Minnesota State) was the conference's Defenseman of the Week. Jake Sibell (St. Thomas) was the Goaltender of the Week and Elias Jansson (Michigan Tech) picked up his third Rookie of the Week award.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Kasper Magnussen, So., Bemidji State (Fredrikstad, Norway)
Magnussen paced CCHA skaters in goals (3) and points (4) last week, leading Bemidji State to a five-point weekend at Michigan Tech's Winter Carnival. He netted three power-play tallies, including a game-winner, with eight shots on goal and one block defensively. On Friday, he had one goal and one assist in a 5-3 Beavers win, before netting a pair of goals in a 6-5 overtime triumph on Saturday.
CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Mason Wheeler, Jr., Minnesota State (Rosemount, Minn.)
Wheeler helped anchor then-No. 15 Minnesota State's blue line in sweeping then-No. 17 Augustana in a critical series last weekend, dishing out one assist and blocking a CCHA-best six shots. Posting a +2 in the series, he had two shots and three blocks in a 4-1 Mavericks victory on Friday, before setting up the game-winning goal and blocking three more shots in a 2-1 win on Saturday.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Jake Sibell, Sr., St. Thomas (Isanti, Minn.)
Sibell recorded a career-high 57 saves in his only start last weekend, leading St. Thomas to a 2-1 road victory over Bowling Green on Saturday night. He stopped all 48 shots while the Tommies were at even strength, as the lone goal he surrendered came midway through the third period on a Falcons power play. The 57 saves are the most by a CCHA netminder since Mattias Sholl had 57 against Wisconsin on October 13, 2024.
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Elias Jansson, Fr., Michigan Tech (Oulu, Finland)
Jansson recorded his first collegiate hat trick last week, helping Michigan Tech come back twice in the third period on Saturday to pick up a point against Bemidji State. He recorded six shots on goal for the weekend, with his second and third tallies coming in the final seven minutes of regulation.
