Saturday Recap: Return of the Mavericks

No. 15 Minnesota State secured its seventh MacNaughton Cup title in the last eight years by finishing off a road sweep of Lake Superior State on Saturday night. St. Thomas also completed a sweep, topping Northern Michigan on the road, while Bemidji State provided a stunning comeback to clip Bowling Green in overtime and Ferris State topped Michigan Tech.

In non-league play, No. 20 Augustana fell to Alaska for the second straight night, 5-3.
