Weekend Preview: Answering the Bell

The CCHA's regular season comes to a close this weekend with four important series, which all have Mason Cup Playoff seeding implications. No. 14/17 Minnesota State hosts Bemidji State and St. Thomas welcomes Michigan Tech to town, while Bowling Green battles Lake Superior State at the Slate and Ferris State celebrates Bob Daniels' final home series against Northern Michigan.

Ferris State hosts Northern Michigan for Bob Daniels' final two home games, this Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs can finish as high as fifth in the league standings, while the Wildcats close out their 2024-25 campaign on Saturday. Ferris State swept the previous meeting between the two teams in early December.

Bowling Green looks to lock up home ice in the Mason Cup Quarterfinals this weekend, when it hosts Lake Superior State for a two-game set at Slater Family Ice Arena. The Falcons need just three points to guarantee home ice, but with help could stand pat as the four seed. The Lakers, who are headed on the road for the Mason Cup Playoffs, were the only team to win away from home in last year's quarterfinals.

The Tommies and Huskies battle it out for home ice in the Mason Cup Quarterfinals this weekend, when they meet at St. Thomas Ice Arena. Tech can clinch home ice with a regulation win, while St. Thomas needs at least two points to have a chance to host and
