St. Thomas came back to beat Ferris State late, while Augustana claimed a big non-league victory over Colorado College to open its weekend series and Bowling Green picked up a tie at Ohio State. No. 14 Minnesota State fell to UMass Lowell and Michigan Tech lost to Air Force out west. In exhibition action, Bemidji State played to a tie with Minnesota.
