The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) announced its 104-game schedule on Tuesday, which includes 26 conference games for each of league's member institutions. The regular season champion will once again be awarded the prestigious MacNaughton Cup, which is currently held by Minnesota State University. The Mason Cup Playoffs, which open with best-of-three quarterfinal series on March 5, 2027, conclude with the title game on March 19, 2027.

The first conference weekend of the year takes place on Oct. 23-24, when Lake Superior State and Ferris State host weekend series against Bowling Green and Michigan Tech, respectively.
Minnesota State, which claimed its 10th MacNaughton Cup and fourth Mason Cup Championship title last season, opens its conference slate at home against the Lakers on October 30-31, highlighting a six-game weekend, which also includes league-opening play for Augustana and Bemidji State, who welcome Northern Michigan and Ferris State to town, respectively.
The first eight-game CCHA weekend of the year drops on November 13 & 14, highlighted by the Beavers welcoming their in-state rival Mavericks and Tech hosting Lake Superior State. Northern Michigan battles Bowling Green in Marquette and Augustana is home to the Bulldogs.
Michigan Tech hosts Minnesota State on Winter Carnival weekend (Feb. 5-6), the annual celebration that takes place every winter in Houghton, Mich. Lake Superior State and Northern Michigan renew their Cappo Cup series on January 15-16 and February 26-27.
The CCHA regular season comes to a close on February 27 with the team earning the most points being awarded the prestigious MacNaughton Cup. All eight teams qualify for the league's postseason.
The top four teams following regular-season action will host the next four in the Quarterfinals of the Mason Cup Playoffs on March 5-7, with the winner of each best-of-three series advancing to the league semifinals. For the fifth consecutive year, both Semifinals (Mar. 13) and the final will be played as a single game at the respective campus sites of the highest-seeded team, with the Championship Game taking place on Friday, March 19. The Mason Cup will be presented to the CCHA playoff champions, who will receive an automatic qualification to the 16-team NCAA Tournament.
The NCAA Tournament opens play March 25-28 with regional sites in Loveland, Colo., Bridgeport, Conn., Springfield, Mass., and Fargo, N.D.
The 2027 Frozen Four is set to take place at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on April 8 & 10.
