CCHA Players of the Week: Nov. 7-8

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its Players of the Week for November 7-8 and four student-athletes from three different programs have been recognized. Stiven Sardarian (Michigan Tech) picked up his second Forward of the Week award this season, while Mitch Wolfe (Bemidji State) was named Defenseman of the Week for the third time in his career. Owen Bartoszkiewicz (Michigan Tech) was the Goaltender of the Week for the second time in three weeks and Noah Morneau (Bowling Green) earned Rookie of the Week.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Stiven Sardarian, Sr., Michigan Tech (Saint Petersburg, Russia) 

 
Sardarian paced CCHA skaters in goals (3), points (4) and plus-minus (+4) last week, leading Michigan Tech to a sweep of rival-Northern Michigan. He also notched seven shots on goal and one block. On Friday, he had two goals and an assist in a 4-1 victory over the Wildcats. He then tallied a goal in a 4-2 win on Saturday night in Marquette.



CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Mitch Wolfe, Sr., Bemidji State (Andover, Minn.) 
 
Wolfe helped Bemidji State extend its unbeaten streak to six games (5-0-1) with a sweep of Lake Superior State over the weekend. He scored a highlight-reel goal, had a plus-minus of +2, recorded four shots on goal, and had three blocks defensively. Helping anchor a Beavers defensive unit that surrended a league-low 35 shots in the series, the penalty kill went 6-for-7. On Friday, he had two blocks in a 4-1 win over the Lakers. He then scored a goal in a 3-2 overtime victory on Saturday.



CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Owen Bartoszkiewicz, Jr., Michigan Tech (Northville, Mich.) 
 
Bartoszkievicz went 2-0 with a 1.51 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage last week, stopping 49-of-52 shots to help Michigan Tech to a sweep of rival-Northern Michigan. On Friday, he made 26 saves in a 4-1 win, before stopping 23 in a 4-2 victory on Saturday.


 
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Noah Morneau, Fr., Bowling Green (Windsor, Ont.) 
 
Morneau led conference rookies in goals (2), points (2) and face-off percentage (58.3%) last week, helping Bowling Green split a road series against No. 16/18 Minnesota State, with each team claiming shootout victories. He totaled six shots on goal and one block for the weekend, which was highlighted by his first collegiate two-goal game on Friday.
