Saturday Recap: Worth the Wait

No. 19/20 Michigan Tech topped No. 14/18 Minnesota, 3-2, to open their 2026-27 season, while Bemidji State need overtime to edge St. Cloud State, 3-2. Ferris State battled to a 5-5 tie at Canisius and Bowling Green took No. 2/2 Michigan to the brink, falling 4-3. Northern Michigan settled for a split with Miami (OH), falling on Saturday, 4-1. 

Lake Superior State claimed a 5-2 exhibition win at the University of Winsor, while Augustana dropped its exhibition opener at No. 4/4 North Dakota, 4-1.
