The sophomore made an appearance in 21-of-26 games and recorded one point (1a). His assist came in a 6-3 victory over Michigan Tech Dec. 12. Logged a career-high four shots on goal in the 2020-21 opener NOv. 22 and again in a 4-1 win at Lake Superior State Jan. 2. Finished the season with 10 blocked shots and a -3 plus/minus rating.
2019-20 (Fr)
Jones made his collegiate debut for the Beavers at North Dakota (Oct. 26)... His first point in the green and white came in his seventh game, a 4-1 win at Lake Superior State (Nov. 29)... He logged his first collegiate goal in a 4-1 victory at Alaska-Anchorage (Feb. 21)... The goal sparked a season-high three-game point streak (2g-1a), which included his second goal, which propelled BSU to a 3-1 victory over No. 2 Minnesota State (Feb. 28)... He finished his freshman season seeing time in 30 of the Beavers' 37 games... He recorded seven points (2g-5a), posted a season-high three shots against Michigan Tech (Jan. 17), had four blocked shots and carried a plus/minus rating of +5.
Prior to BSU
Jones played two seasons in the BCHL for the Trail Smoke Eaters. As a rookie in 2017-18, he totaled 15 goals and 30 assists in 55 games to finish fourth among the league’s newcomers in scoring. He also added 10 points (2g-8a) in 12 playoff games as Trail came just one series win short of a BCHL Interior Division title and a trip to the Fred Page Cup final. Skating in all 24 of the Smoke Eaters’ games during the 2018-19 season, he was second on the team with 20 points (6g-14a), which included a game-winning goal. He was a key contributor to Trail’s power-play unit, logging a goal to go with a team-leading eight assists on the man advantage.
