Friday Recap: Tough Test

After topping No. 1 Western Michigan on Thursday night, Ferris State fell to the Broncos at home on Friday. No. 19 St. Thomas fell at No. 10 North Dakota, while No. 20 Minnesota State dropped season opener at Omaha. Augustana got its season underway with a loss to Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State saw its unbeaten start to the season end against St. Cloud State. 

Lake Superior State saw a third period lead slip away against Lindenwood in its home opener, while Bowling Green dropped a series opener on the road to Niagara. Northern Michigan continued its challenging early-season schedule with a defeat at No. 16 Ohio State.
