No. 20 Minnesota State clashes with No. 17 Wisconsin on Thursday and Friday, as the Mavericks face long-time head coach Mike Hastings for the first time since he left Mankato. Bemidji State takes on Minnesota Duluth in a home-and-home series that opens in Bemidji on Friday night, while Augustana welcomes No. 15/16 Arizona State to Midco Arena for its home-opening weekend. Northern Michigan also opens its home slate with a two-game set against No. 19/20 Colorado College, while St. Thomas flies west to face Air Force for a pair. The nightcap on Friday and Saturday features a Michigan Tech trip to Fairbanks to take on Alaska. Tech and UAF are meeting for the fourth consecutive season and the Huskies have gone 5-1-1 over that stretch, which includes a Great Lakes Invitational matchup in 2023-24 that Michigan Tech won, 3-2.
