Men's Ice Hockey 11/4/2026 6:00:00 PM CCHA Suspends LSSU's Raoul Boilard The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) announced Wednesday the suspension of Lake Superior State freshman Raoul Boilard for four NCAA games, stemming from an incident on Saturday, October 31, against Minnesota State. Following a thorough review of the incident, it has been determined that Boilard's actions were inconsistent with the CCHA's standards for player conduct, sportsmanship, and player safety. In accordance with the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's disciplinary procedures, the Director of Officiating in conjunction with the Commissioner, has determined that a four-game suspension is warranted. The suspension stems from a play that occurred during Saturday night's contest in which Boilard delivered a check from behind to a Minnesota State University player. It will include the next four NCAA contests vs. Michigan Technological University and Bemidji State University. Upon serving all four games of the suspension, Boilard will be eligible to return to competition on December 4, 2026. The CCHA is committed to eliminating dangerous and unnecessary contact from the game. Player safety remains a priority, and actions that put the health and well-being of another student-athlete at serious risk will be addressed appropriately through the league's disciplinary process.
