Gustav Stjernberg Suspended by League

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) announced Saturday that Bowling Green junior Gustav Stjernberg has been suspended for one game, stemming from an incident at 3:53 of the first period on Friday, February 6 against St. Thomas. The on-ice call was a 5-minute major for contact the head.
 
The suspension will be served during Bowling Green's next game, which falls on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Augustana and Stjernberg will be eligible to return to the Falcon's lineup on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) competes in the highest level of NCAA Division I Hockey and is regarded as one of the top player development leagues in the world for the National Hockey League (NHL).
