The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its Players of the Week for February 6-7 and four student-athletes from four different programs have been recognized. Oliver Peer (Bemidji State) was the Forward of the Week, while Jack Anderson (Michigan Tech) picked up his second straight Defenseman of the Week award. Jacob Steinman (Bowling Green) claimed Goaltender of the Week honors and Nathan Pilling (St. Thomas) was the Rookie of the Week for the third time.

CCHA Forward of the Week: Oliver Peer, Jr., Bemidji State
Peer led CCHA skaters with six points last week, scoring three goals with three assists, helping the Beavers to a home split with Ferris State. Even for the weekend, he had seven shots on goal, two power-play tallies and one block defensively, while winning 64.1% (25-of-39) of his face-offs. On Friday, he had a hand in all three Bemidji State goals in a 6-3 loss the Bulldogs. He then had two goals and one assist in a 4-3 overtime victory on Saturday, setting up the game-winning marker.
CCHA Defenseman of the Week: Jack Anderson, Sr., Michigan Tech (St. Louis, Mo.)
Anderson won Winter Carnival MVP after leading the No. 20 Huskies to a five-point sweep of No. 16 Augustana last week. Leading CCHA defensemen in goals (2) and points (3), he was +4 with seven shots on goal and four blocks defensively, while playing 26:58 minutes per game - the second-highest average in the league. On Friday, he scored a goal in a 3-2 overtime victory over the Vikings, before picking up a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win on Saturday.
CCHA Goaltender of the Week: Jacob Steinman, Fr., Bowling Green (Ottawa, Ont.)
Steinman went 1-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .969 save percentage, helping Bowling Green to a 3-1 victory over No. 15 St. Thomas on Saturday night. Stopping 31-of-32 shots, he turned away 5-of-6 while the Falcons were shorthanded. He made seven saves in each of the first two periods before stopping 17 in the third to help seal the win.
CCHA Rookie of the Week: Nathan Pilling, Fr., St. Thomas (Calgary, Alta.)
Pilling led conference rookies with two goals last week, helping the No. 15 Tommies to a split at Bowling Green. Scoring twice on the power play, he had five shots on goal with three blocks, while winning 54.0% (27-of-50) face-offs and averaging 21:52 minutes per game. On Friday, he scored two goals in a 3-2 overtime victory for St. Thomas. He then had three shots and two blocks in a 3-1 loss on Saturday.
